There are quite literally 100's of 1000's of wiki's on the Internet and many of these can be accessed by anyone. There are many Free Wiki's scattered around the web wetpaint.com wikispaces.com and pbwiki.com are threee good ones to start with. You can read an article about the pro's and con's of these web sites at http://sartz.edublogs.org/2008/05/08/wiki-wars/. If your feeling really adventurous, after watching the video go to www.wikispaces.com and sign up as a user of wikispaces. A tutorial for signing up at wikispaces can be found here You can then click on the Discussion button above and leave a comment which describes how you might use a wiki in your teaching. |
